Flint Autorama ~ Offered by Jerry Davidson Buickland G-5200 Clio Rd. in Flint at the time. Looks like a Buick Cutlas. Isn't it great that they've brought back the purple color to the new remake of these old muscle cars? Iknow the purple's been back around for a couple years and the bright orange. Fact: Did you know that the Auto Industry car colors are the 1st to set the color trend then it goes down the line into fashion as in clothing colors. Bet you didn't know that.

The "SUSPECT" Dodge Charger #420, an independent entry at show in 1965 Flint Autorama. With the amount of trophies lined up there, it must'v been a popular car.

Down on the floor there are several George Barris cars and in front that half & half car that I still don't know the name of. But on the left I see the Bed Buggy, on right is the Surf Woody, way in the middle back is the Cosma Ray and you can see some of the cars better in the next several pictures of these cars at the 65' Flint Auto Show.

Actually, I think I used some artistic editing on this one and did it in a topography element which almost animates it. Same pic as previous one of the surf Woody & any other cars you can recognize if you zoom in.

This is the Surf Woody, a George Barris Kustom. This 60's Hot Rod looks like it should have been in an Anette Funicello and Franky Avalon Beach movie

The left is the Bed Buggy by Barris & there they are all up and down but hard to see . The last in the middle row is the Cosma Ray and the front right is the Barris Kustom Surf Woody. There are 9 of these pictures all together but some are duplicates. So pick the ones that you like the best and either leave a comment, thumbs up or "like" which ever one you like best.

1965 Flint Autorama

A George Barris Hot Rod by Barris Kustom City named "THE SURF WOODY" complete with surf board and all the amenities for a California surfer boy or girl. It would have been perfect in one of those beach movies with Anette Funicello or Gidget goes surfing & it probably was in a movie. I can picture it with the beatniks playing a bongo drum and the blonde, blue eyed, surf bum driving onto the beach. The man on the right, in this photo, was one of the Autorama organizers, Carl Casper who I think raced a few times too. I used to hear my Dad mentioning his name when I was a child. Not sure who the other fellow is. If anybody knows, please share.

The Surf Woody front and center is a George Barris Kustom Hot Rod Novelty Car. Surfing anyone?

Part of the Surf Woody but you can atleast see the inside seats and the top where the surf board is held on. Ok, ready to see some photos of the entire car? Boy these are some old pictures. But I still think it'd be entirely awesome to have a car like this to go to the beach in. I live in Michigan so I wind surf but it would still work.

I'll have to catch up on this Roadster later because for now, the info sign is on the other side & I can't tell what type of car it is. Perhaps I'll find another picture as I go.

Not sure what type of car this is but it looks like it's from the 1930's because it has that Are Deco look to it.
